Hey y’all! Well, it’s been a little while so I thought I would post a little update.
I’m right at the beginnings of writing Book 5 of Other Realm Beings! I finished Book 4 a few weeks ago, so I’m well into the editing process for that one. I genuinely think 4 might be my favorite so far, so I’m really excited for that one to come out. And writing Book 5 has been so much fun because it’s so different than any of the others. All of this and Book 3 hasn’t even been announced yet! But fear not, that announcement is absolutely incoming.
Also, I’m really wanting to start doing some short stories in the Other Realm Beings universe! I already have soooo many planned, but I guess I was hoping for some more interest in them before I started posting those. Granite hasn’t gotten as many reviews & ratings as Bloodlust, which is totally fine. But I guess I had it in my head that people would be interested in the short stories by now. But that’s okay! I can, of course, write them for myself because I want to. The eventual goal is to include some of these short stories in the inevitable hardback cover editions of the books! I just have to figure out how to make that happen.
Even though I’m deep in the throes of Book 5, I really wanna start writing these short stories! I have so many of them that I want to enact, so I just need to hope the hell on it. Especially because one of them is a very fun, out of universe but also in universe game show type situation that I think would be reallyfun. More on that later, of course.

Hey there! I thought it would be nice to start a page with some behind the scenes stuff and little updates here and there. I’m not sure how often I’ll update this section here, but I thought it would be a nice touch.
I’m so far into the Other Realm Beings universe right now that I just never want to leave. I absolutely adore my thriller series, Slayer Society, but writing Beings has been so freeing in so many ways and even more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined. With Slayer Society I felt so rigid with what I had to do. I felt like I had to prove myself in the art of writing prose that maybe I leaned a little too flowery or a little too detailed or a little too much. But I don’t feel that way about Beings. Now while I could make it just as flowery if I wanted to, that wasn’t my goal with writing romance for the first time. I wanted it to be an easy read, but still enjoyable. Cozy, but still rich in atmosphere. I feel like I’ve accomplished that, and I’m working harder each and every day to make it the best it can be.
I’ve gotten more feedback from Beings Of Bloodlust than I have the entire seven years that Slayer Society has started. I always thought I’d be just a young adult author and I wasn’t allowed to be anything else. Freeing myself to be not just a romance author, but just an author period of whatever I want to write has been so liberating, and I have Beings to thank for that. Getting Amazon reviews and Goodreads recognition makes me all giddy, like fire ants are under my skin. And while some people haven’t rated Beings Of Bloodlust too high, I truly appreciate that it’s being read. I never felt like Slayer Society was being read by anyone, so to see that people are reading Beings Of Bloodlust, regardless of how they rate it, makes my heart so happy.
That being said, I’m so happy with how Beings is going. I’ve made some refreshers to Bloodlust, after seeing some reviews from readers and fixing inconsistencies because I want this book and series to be the best that it can, and I think part of that is listening to feedback. While I’m trying to set a very specific mood and tone to this series, I still want to take reader criticism into consideration. A better book means a better read, so I’m always open to suggestions of how to better the story if there’s things that are confusing to the reader.
Currently, I’m writing the fourth book of Other Realm Beings. I know that Book 2 hasn’t even come out yet (June 20th can’t get here soon enough!) and I haven’t announced Book 3 yet, but just know that there’s no shortage of books coming lately. I have a release plan in place and so far, it’s not just going according to plan, it’s exceeding my self-imposed plan and it makes me so damn happy. The release date for Book 3 is coming sooner than you think 👀.
I’m also hoping to release some bonus content after the release of Beings Of Granite in June. Granite has a ton of characters, thanks to Wallace’s board of Orbs, and I’d like to write some shorts involving a particular couple. But I also wanna revisit Bas & Kroven, and even Wallace and his Orb, because even though that story has yet to be released to you guys, I finished writing it almost a year ago. So revisiting my couples, and maybe even some side characters, just sounds so fun. I love this world I’ve created so much. I hope that everyone enjoys it as much as I do as the books continue to release and more of the world is revealed.
Anyway, that’s my little update! Let me know if you enjoyed this, but if not, I’m sure I’ll be doing little updates and what not. Be on the lookout for the bonus content tab on this site after Granite comes out because that’s just going to happy. I wanna keep building this world and make it more and more rich.
