Beings Of Dark Water

The virces was definitely nervous, stumbling over his words as he told me that his buddies had paid for a lap dance, but that I didn’t have to if I didn’t want to. It was adorable of him, making me think that his friends had dragged him here and were the series regulars to his one episode guest star. I felt confident enough in my dancing prowess to give him a good show, but I still wanted it over and done.

He was an attractive guy, Orb or not. His facial features were human, except for being covered in the blue and green scales that all virces shared. Golden eyes stared back at me, striking and the color made me feel an invisible warmth somehow. I hadn’t been paying attention before, but I noticed that his lips were scaleless, plump and blue, and he also had four fingers instead of five like a human. It looked less like he was missing a pinky finger and more like he’d never had one. He also had hills on the side of his neck that looked rough to the touch, just daring someone to scrape their knuckles across them.

Around his neck was an octagonal jewel shaped from some sort of blue glass, a silver chain charting around the base of his head. When he moved, it almost looked like something was inside the jewel, but it must have been the light.

Why was I focusing on this dude’s hands and neck? Shaking myself, I walked closer to him so that my legs touched his, his opening on instinct as I wedged myself between them. If he’d been able to visibly sweat, I would have definitely been seeing it right about now. This guy was nerves personified.

“First time?” I chuckled playfully, resisting the urge to bend down and stagger my hands on his thighs to really make him sweat. If this guy was really that much of a fan, I wanted him to enjoy every dollar his buds had spent on me. With how out of sorts he appeared though, I decided to let him set the pace. “Just breathe. I don’t bite. That costs extra.”

Twenty-two years ago, creatures came out of the shadows. They revealed themselves and demanded the same rights as humans. Peace was achieved and for the most part, the creatures, referred to as Other Realm Beings or Orbs for short, fit into society.

Thayer Nguyen never thought he was anything other than what he’d always defined himself as: an aloof stripper and definitely straight. He liked who he was. He was comfortable with who he was.

Until he meets an Orb covered in beautiful blue and green scales with golden eyes that long to tell him he’s anything but what he thought. On top of sexuality suddenly being questioned, his twin brother is back in town and they need to repair what transpired in the past if they hope to have a relationship in the future.

Beings Of Dark Water is the third novel in the Other Realm Beings series featuring human men falling for unique creatures inspired by classic monsters.
